An organization’s values lay the foundation for what a company cares about the most. They are underlying principles that govern how people work and pave the way towards enabling a workforce to succeed.
Employee experience is one of the strongest predictors of long-term business success. A survey of some of the Best Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for see a 4x better stock performance. Another fact is that companies with a good culture see half the turnover of their peers. A study revealed that 46% of all decision-makers and leaders felt that culture drives improvements and performance and impacts productivity, retention, and engagement. We couldn’t agree more on this.
At enreap, we recognize the power of having deeply instilled values that dictate a positive culture, and more importantly, the criticality of imbibing these values in principle, and not just in theory.
The Values we Stand For
We have invested ample time and resources in drafting our values that make us stronger. Being a global thought leader in a space as cluttered as IT and software is no easy feat, but having a culture that imbibes its strong values is at the center of our success. Let’s dive into some of the values that we stand for:
- Embracing openness and authenticity: At enreap, we always encourage openness, honesty and integrity with a culture of sharing and accountability. This is important because it empowers employees to take pride in what they are doing. We strive to ensure that employees at enreap are always made to feel safe and supported. When an Assistant Marketing Manager, Chetan, was facing several challenges with external vendors during a rebranding project, we could see the stress he was experiencing. However, since our leaders and managers are approachable and solutions-oriented, everyone stepped in and helped Chetan collaboratively, allowing him to meet his timelines despite the odds. This is how having approachable team members impacts the culture in a positive way, where curiosity is encouraged, and every leader is ready to always lend a helping hand. Chetan now has complete confidence in leading his projects, knowing that he has a strong and seasoned team backing him. We’ve all read about toxic managers who will expect their employees to suffer in silence and “figure it out”, but that has the worst impact on the overall culture, which is why we create a safe environment to enable employees to signal a red flag and ask for help before the problem festers and takes a toll on productivity and confidence of our employees.
- Fostering a sense of belonging: Everyone at enreap is valued, included, and connected, without any exceptions. Making our employees feel like they belong has a great impact on the ecosystem as a whole. At enreap, diverse perspectives are not just welcomed but are valued. We understand that working in silos can make life very difficult in this space and that at enreap we recognize that and encourage collaboration.
One of our newer employees, Shradha, was under pressure on one of her earlier projects and was chasing a new client, but her worry didn’t go unnoticed. The whole team rallied together to support her, and she was able to deliver far beyond the client’s expectations. It’s no secret that most corporates will encourage competition and pit employees against one another, whereas at enreap, we strive to promote a culture of collaboration which goes a long way in empowering every employee to realize that they are not alone in their battles and that they can always tap into a large ecosystem of talented people for support.
- A spirit of collaboration: Teamwork and mutual respect are at the heart of enreap. Here, we strive to motivate our employees to unite in pursuit of common goals and celebrate each other’s success together. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at enreap, and every small or big win is a team win. When enreap wanted to achieve AWS cloud competency, there were a series of challenges and setbacks. But in true enreap spirit, obstacles were looked at as opportunities to tackle a roadblock and learn something new along the way, so every setback was met with a positive spirit. Piyush & Suraj from the AWS technical team contributed with their deep tech expertise. Paresh & Tushar from the sales team helped by offering their vast business understanding. While it was a rigorous evaluation by AWS, our AWS tech & sales teams patiently handled all the queries, and suggestions and fulfilled the requirements of AWS, it’s a good example of team collaboration.
- Driven by passion and fueled by purpose: Enthusiasm is contagious, and we nurture a culture driven by purpose which results in meaningful, innovative work. Ketki at enreap realized and lived this truth when she had a mammoth project to deliver which was extremely cross-functional. Leaving no stone unturned, the sales team helped dissect every piece of the puzzle until they arrived at the best solution. Being an extremely talented and passionate techie, Ketki was able to deliver some of the most creative solutions we’ve seen, by remaining persistent and revisiting problems from every permutation and combination and learning a tremendous amount in the process. Passion alone in a silo counts for nothing if it is not steered and fueled by purpose, and Ketki and the team managed to turn every obstacle into a success story.
- Empowered by agility: Every employee at enreap is seen as a driver for change and innovation. They are supported by agility every step of the way with access to continuous improvement and skills development helping them adapt to challenges and ever-changing landscapes in the industry. In the tech landscape, change is the only constant, and without agility in our processes and methodologies, success is out of reach. At enreap, we recognize this and have built a culture that’s centered around agility from within.
- Sustainability and ethics: As a global corporation with the power to shape the industry, we understand that the long-term well-being of our clients, employees, and the environment is of the utmost importance. This is why we always come together to foster sustainable IT practices and decision-making supported by ethics.
Walking the talk
The industry is teeming with stories of toxic work cultures, and inhumane managers with ineffective and dated management styles that serve as examples of how creating a hostile work environment can be detrimental to employees, clients, and the bottom line. We are grateful that taking the time to build a culture centered on the values we believe in has allowed us to do things differently and truly be valued by the people who make everything possible, our workforce.
