The client
A global IT & Technology Services organization delivering consulting and digital platform solutions across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia engaged enreap to modernize its infrastructure. Their workloads were distributed across Hostinger-hosted servers, on-premises systems, and a managed MongoDB database platform, creating operational complexity and scalability constraints. With hosting contracts nearing expiration and growing performance demands, the organization initiated a strategic migration to AWS.
Client requirements
Unified Cloud Infrastructure
Consolidate Hostinger-hosted and on-premises workloads into a centralized, scalable AWS environment.
Seamless Hybrid Migration
Migrate applications, servers, and databases from multiple source environments with minimal operational disruption.
Cost-Optimized Database Modernization
Validate and migrate to Amazon DocumentDB only if it met performance, compatibility, and cost objectives.
Secure & Reliable AWS Foundation
Establish a secure, highly available AWS infrastructure aligned with best practices for networking, access, and monitoring.
Minimal Downtime Migration
Execute the migration within a strict one-week timeline while ensuring business continuity and validated outcomes.
Scalable & Future-Ready Platform
Build a modern cloud environment capable of supporting future growth, improved performance, and operational efficiency.
Our approach
enreap executed a phased migration strategy aligned with AWS best practices, leveraging AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) for server migration and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for database transition. The engagement included secure AWS foundation setup, controlled migration waves, infrastructure validation, monitoring enablement, and structured handover while the customer retained responsibility for application-level deployment and SSL management.
Our solution

AWS Foundation & Secure Architecture
A secure AWS foundation was established using a VPC with public and private subnets, reinforced by IAM roles, security groups, and KMS encryption. Monitoring, logging, and audit visibility were enabled through Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail.

Server Migration & Consolidation
One Hostinger application server and two on-premises workloads (Linux Vicidial and Windows Server 2019) were successfully migrated to Amazon EC2, with an additional EC2 instance provisioned to complete the target architecture. Post-migration validation ensured operating system stability, storage integrity, and secure network connectivity across all workloads

Database Modernization
The managed MongoDB database was migrated to Amazon DocumentDB using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), ensuring secure and seamless data transfer. Schema compatibility, performance, and ~10 GB data integrity were validated, with the configuration optimized for cost efficiency and future growth.
Business benefits
- Consolidated fragmented infrastructure into a unified AWS environment
- Successfully migrated three workloads with validated data integrity
- Database migration completed with zero data loss
- Optimized database costs while maintaining performance
- Secure, scalable infrastructure deployed in AWS Mumbai region
- Monitoring and alerting enabled through Amazon CloudWatch
