AWS Solution Architect / AWS SME

Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solution Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with  strong delivery experience in the AWS and DevOps domain. The candidate should have a  proven track record of delivering complex cloud transformation, migration, and  modernization projects. The role requires acting as a technical authority, working closely  with customers, internal delivery teams, and AWS stakeholders to design and implement  scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as an AWS SME designing scalable, secure, and cost-optimized architectures using AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and related  services. 
  • Provide L3/L4 architectural guidance and technical leadership to engineering and  delivery teams. 
  • Communicate effectively with multiple customers and AWS stakeholders on a daily  basis
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business and non-functional  requirements into solution architectures, HLDs, LLDs, migration roadmaps, and  implementation plans aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Design DevOps-first architectures using CI/CD tools including CodePipeline,  CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, GitHub/GitLab, Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with AWS, including Partner Development  Managers (PDMs), AWS Solution Architects, and service teams. 
  • Ownership of technical delivery and should have delivered complex projects along with  customer interfacing skills 
  • Mentor delivery teams and support architecture governance, design reviews, and  technical decision-making

Qualification Criteria 

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as an AWS and DevOps  Solution Architect / SME
  • Multi-cloud experience will be an added advantage, particularly hands-on exposure  to AWS, Azure,GCP 
  • Proven delivery experience managing and implementing complex AWS and  DevOps projects..
  • Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead architecture discussions, influence stakeholders, and act as a  technical authority
  • AWS Professional Certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional preferred). Technical Stack

Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS 

Monitoring: Amazon CloudWatch, X-Ray, Observability tools 

Cost & Governance: AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, Savings Plans, AWS Well-Architected  Framework
