Our approach & solution
enreap, as an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner, partnered with Zafin to evaluate their existing Jira environment, which included both an End-of-Life (EOL) Server instance and an up-to-date Jira Cloud instance. Our team conducted a thorough assessment of the current setup, identified possible risks and opportunities, and provided a clear, phased roadmap for merging the instances. We then successfully executed the migration to a single, unified Jira Cloud instance, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum operational efficiency.
Instance Analysis & Roadmap Design
A detailed analysis of both Jira instances was conducted, and a tailored roadmap was created for unification and optimization, ensuring alignment with Zafin’s business goals.
Multi-Hop Upgrade Strategy
enreap implemented a multi-hop upgrade path to bring the EOL Jira Server instance in line with the latest supported version before initiating the merge.
Jira Merge & Staging Validation
The merging of the two Jira instances was first tested in a staging environment to ensure accuracy, minimize risk, and validate performance prior to live execution.
Cloud Migration
enreap executed the migration of the unified Jira instance to the Atlassian Cloud, enabling a single, streamlined platform for all users across the organization.
Project Management Standardization
Post-migration, enreap recommended and implemented standardized project management practices across Jira, optimizing workflows and enhancing traceability.
